About Me

Roots by Roy was started by me, Roy.

As a kid, my dream was to be a farmer. This passion has continued to inspire me and is the foundation of Roots by Roy. 

My formal education includes a horticulture diploma from the University of Guelph with a focus on urban agriculture. The program provided the foundation of knowledge regarding the elements to success that are needed to grow strong and healthy vegetables. Having grown vegetables at home for over 15 years, I have experience with what works and what can go wrong in a short summer season.

I also hold a B.Comm. with a major in Agricultural Business from the University of Guelph. 

My goal is to share this knowledge and experience with you, to provide gardening services, along with vegetable and herb seedlings, to give you what you need to start growing your own wholesome food, right from your own back yard.
